Dear Student,
It gives me great pleasure in welcoming you to Budmouth Sixth Form.
We are incredibly proud of all we have to offer you here, from our wide variety of courses and our extensive extra-curricular opportunities and trips, to our supportive and welcoming community.
At Budmouth, our sixth form offers you a stepping stone into your future, with university and careers links at the heart of the courses we offer. In our most recent OFSTED inspection where we were rated ‘Good’ (March, 2024), and inspectors noted that, ‘in the sixth form, students value the range of courses available and that teachers are skilful in providing appropriate work that is demanding for students, and in providing additional support when needed.’
Students in our sixth form are aspirational and determined, with a desire to succeed in their chosen area of specialism. They are collaborative and competitive, whether that be in winning our inter-tutor competitions each half term or when competing in our alternative sports day at the end of the year-students take on every opportunity to have fun, work hard and build lifelong friendships.
Our mission is to inspire our students to do what inspired them and together we will work with you to achieve your future goals and reach the destination of your choice.
This is an incredibly exciting time in your life and we look forward to supporting you through this next step.
