Professional Development

At Budmouth we ensure that the CPD needs of all staff are met by good quality internal and external CPD.

We use professional development to increase the effectiveness of teaching, learning and assessment and to assist in the drive for improvement.

All of our CPD addresses the requirements of the Academy’s Improvement Plan and the outcomes of our Appraisal process.

We base our CPD actions on a deep and accurate understanding of the school’s performance and of staff and pupils’ skills and attributes.

Our main aim is to raise standards and increase the engagement and improve the outcomes of our learners.
